Thanks to the Obama Administration's stimulus efforts,
Colorado's Alison Barber is at work today in construction management.
Her story will soon be on our website, but here's a quick preview.
Alison is a recent graduate of Colorado State University--go Rams!--and
this construction management major considers herself more fortunate
than many of her classmates:
She's got that right; the employment rate for her CSU construction management peers has dropped to less than 50%.
But, Ali has been working hard for Castle
Rock Construction Company on the C-470 road and
bike-path repair project outside Denver. As the video at left
demonstrates, she's also been an outspoken supporter of the Recovery
Act and the good-paying jobs the stimulus has created at all levels of
transportation construction.
You can read more about her in the Denver Post and at Denver's CBS4.
It's difficult to imagine a better graduation gift than a good job in
her chosen career field. Congrats Alison! I'm sure you'll make us all
proud.

Great women with ideals.
looks like cool projects to deal with.
