Like your post about 2012 Budget. Thanks for sharing i was not aware about that

The only way that our infrastructure can grow to the expected level and outcome, utilizing the latest technologies, is to promote and encourage more students to enter into transportation related careers. This must be grown and nurtured through Career & Technical Education schools across the country. Unfortunately without industry taking a more active interest and involvement, it cannot occur through government funding alone.
Many Diesel and Automotive programs are closing due to funding cuts, with money being diverted to main programs of studies. Career & Technical Education, sad to say, is still considered an "elective" and is not a requirement, so budgets are slashed. And with Diesel and Automotive being expensive component programs, most equipment is sorely outdated, overused, and procured through instructor sought after donations. To change infrastructure in Transportation, we must change and foster a greater interest in our youth to pursue this worthwhile career pathway. Thanks, Ed
